The Nash Metropolitan was introduced in 1955 and was ahead of its time in many ways. The idea of a small, economical car was not at the top of the popularity list in the ‘50’s, but this car comes at a size and with fuel economy that would actually fit today’s market. This is the hardtop version, there was also a convertible. This ‘57 features an engine that is slightly larger than the one first introduced, and the two-tone paint treatment is another feature to distinguish later models. Metros are loved and collected today, and there are Metropolitan clubs and shows. This example presents well with its red and white paint, correct chrome trim and the correct hubcaps with white stripe tires.
